Welcome to Udawalawe Rides! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for booking and using our vehicle rental services. By booking a vehicle through UdawalaweRides.com, you agree to comply with the terms stated below.

1. Booking & Payment Policy

• All bookings must be made through UdawalaweRides.com or via direct communication with our team.
• Bookings are only confirmed after full or partial payment.
• Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash (where applicable).
• Udawalawe Rides reserves the right to cancel unpaid bookings.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking time will be eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before will be subject to a 50% charge.
• No-shows or last-minute cancellations will not be refunded.
• Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

3. Driver & License Requirements

• Renters must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license recognized in Sri Lanka.
• International visitors must provide a valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
• The driver must adhere to all Sri Lankan traffic laws and regulations.

4. Vehicle Usage & Restrictions

• Vehicles must only be used for the intended purpose (e.g., city drive, safari tours, long-distance travel).
• Off-road driving is strictly prohibited, except for designated safari vehicles.
• Subletting or lending the rented vehicle to a third party is not allowed.
• The renter is responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal issues incurred during the rental period.

5. Fuel Policy

• All vehicles are provided with a specified fuel level and must be returned with the same level.
• If the fuel level is lower upon return, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel at the current market rate.

6. Damage, Insurance & Liability

• Renters are responsible for any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
• In case of an accident, the renter must inform Udawalawe Rides immediately and follow proper reporting procedures.
• Basic insurance is included in the rental fee, but damage waivers or full insurance coverage can be purchased at an additional cost.
• The renter will be liable for the deductible amount in case of an accident unless full coverage is purchased.

7. Pickup & Return Policy

• Vehicles must be picked up and returned at the agreed-upon time and location.
• Late returns may be subject to an additional hourly charge.
• If a renter requires an extension, prior approval from Udawalawe Rides is mandatory.

8. Customer Responsibilities

• Renters must check the vehicle for any existing damages before accepting the rental.
• The vehicle must be returned in a clean condition. Excessive dirt may result in a cleaning fee.
• Udawalawe Rides is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle.

9. Force Majeure

Udawalawe Rides shall not be held liable for any cancellations or service disruptions caused by natural disasters, strikes, accidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.

10. Privacy Policy

• We value your privacy and will only collect personal data necessary for processing your booking.
• Your details will never be shared with third parties without consent.
